Hi, my name is Josef. I am a Mexican Librarian and Information Scientist, dedicated to preserving, organizing, and sharing human knowledge. My mission is to bridge ancestral wisdom with modern information systems, using digital technologies to create accessible, living archives that connect communities, cultures, and generations across the world.

Our agency leads and coordinates a growing network of library projects, including the Worldwide Library Initiative (wwL), the Mayan Library, the Mexican Library, the Bioregional Library, and the Ancestral Library—and this is just the beginning, as hundreds of new projects are in development. Each library serves as a repository of knowledge, a platform for research, and a space for cultural exchange, integrating scientific studies, ancestral wisdom, and contemporary technologies.

Ancient Insights for future innovations

Through these efforts, we aim to serve society and humanity by studying, preserving, and sharing knowledge that addresses today’s challenges while envisioning a brighter, harmonious future. Our work connects the insights of the past, the realities of the present, and the innovations of the future, guiding communities toward understanding, peace, and sustainable living. By honoring the treasures of human knowledge and embracing modern technologies, we foster love, unity, and collaboration. Together with libraries, museums, cultural institutions, and community elders worldwide, our agency ensures that knowledge is not only studied but lived, shared, and celebrated—helping humanity navigate global challenges while nurturing a culture of empathy, science, and planetary well-being.

What is a modern library according to our agency?

A modern library is more than a collection of books—it is a living knowledge hub that preserves, organizes, and shares information from past, present, and emerging sources. We integrate digital technologies, archival methods, and librarianship best practices to make knowledge accessible to everyone.

What types of library projects does the agency manage?

Our agency manages a wide spectrum of libraries, including the Worldwide Library Initiative, Mayan Library, Mexican Library, Bioregional Library, and Ancestral Library. Each project focuses on preserving cultural, scientific, and ecological knowledge while applying modern information technologies to ensure accessibility and longevity.

How does the agency ensure knowledge is preserved for the future?

We employ state-of-the-art information systems, digital archiving, and metadata standards alongside traditional librarianship methods. This combination safeguards both material and immaterial knowledge, enabling communities and researchers to study, share, and apply it sustainably.

How can someone collaborate with the agency?

We welcome collaboration from librarians, researchers, cultural institutions, and community elders. Partners can contribute knowledge, participate in research projects, support digital archiving initiatives, or help expand our network of libraries worldwide.
